CHP cracks Roseville Road fatal hit and run; suspect arrested.
The California Highway Patrol says they have arrested a man who has confessed to leaving the scene of a hit and run crash that left a Fair Oaks man dead a month ago.
Nicolas Reza is accused of vehicular manslaughter (misdemeanor), hit and run, and driving with a suspended license in the collision killing 20-year-old Gavril Suiugan on Roseville Road in Citrus Heights May 1. Suiugan was riding his motorcycle on northbound Roseville Road when Reza, the driver of a dark blue pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction, turned into his path, CHP Officer Chad Hertzell said. Suiugan was ejected and died at the scene.
The pickup’s driver fled. Reza was arrested Wednesday evening and booked into Sacramento County Main Jail.

20-year-old Fair Oaks motorcyclist killed in crash
More than one month after a 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Sacramento County, officers arrested a man in connection with the crash, officials said Thursday.
Nicolas Reza was taken into custody after he confessed to being the driver of the vehicle that collided with the motorcycle that Gavril Suiugan, of Fair Oaks, was riding, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers said Reza was driving a GMC Sierra at about 8:50 p.m. May 1 when the vehicle turned out directly in front of Suiugan, who was heading north on Roseville Road near Outlook Drive.
Suiugan hit the right side of Reza’s vehicle, and was thrown from the motorcycle, the CHP said.
Suiugan died at the scene. Reza fled before officers got there, officials said.
Investigators said they determined that Reza was the driver of the GMC and arrested him Wednesday evening.
Reza was booked on charges of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license, officers said
